I'm recruiting for the following role.
Job Role: Senior Project Engineer / Manager - Engineering
Client: Global FMCG Manufacturer
Reporting to the UK Head of Engineering
Location: Regional, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire & Buckinghamshire areas
Client: Category Market leader in FMCG Manufacturing
Reward: £62-72k target plus £6-9k car benefit plus Bonus
Onsite Monday-Friday days based, some hybrid with travel

Role Responsibilities - Project Manager - Engineering
1. Manage the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, covering factory equipment, process, packing lines, site services, process engineering, as well as construction design management
2. Driving line installations and BAU engineering projects
3. Plan, execute and lead project activities for feasibility studies, equipment specifications, supplier selections, equipment commissioning and validation within demanding timescales
4. Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager, you will have complete autonomy to deliver pragmatic, value-engineered projects to cost and time specifications
5. You will coach, mentor, and develop your multi-functional teams of engineers and designers/contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects
6. The projects will cover factory equipment, including packaging, processing, and site activities
7. Engineering Compliance Champion: Ensure all engineering activities meet industry standards
8. You will lead engineering and production teams during equipment installation and start-up, supplier selection, feasibility and justification analysis, and equipment commissioning
9. Liaise with departments cross-functionally to ascertain requirements and define project scopes
10. Preparing specifications/briefs which will go to external suppliers for tender
11. Managing tender processes, including supplier selection exercises
12. Managing external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
13. Lead, monitor and review projects internally across departments
14. Co-ordinating all contractors in accordance with our policies
Qualifications & Requirements - Senior Project Engineer Manager - Engineering
15. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds will be considered, ideally in a regulated environment, from high FMCG volume manufacturing
16. Experience developing technical engineering solutions in automated environments
17. An experienced Project Engineer from FMCG manufacturing, food preferred
18. Ideally, A degree in Engineering or time served Engineering qualifications with a further education qualification in project management
19. High level of IT literacy (and ideally fully conversant with MS Project)
20. Proven Leadership and senior stakeholder management: Significant experience in a senior engineering management role within the manufacturing FMCG-related sector
21. This could include Food, Drink, Pharma and related consumer goods manufacturing, encompassing process and packaging
22. Mechanical/electrical qualification or equivalent, ideally a degree, even better if you are chartered!
23. 5+ years of Engineering leadership experience; with exposure to FMCG environments ideal
24. Excellent People leadership skills to motivate, lead and drive projects
