Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator

A growing manufacturing business is looking for an organised and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. This is a busy, hands-on position where you’ll play a key role in keeping materials moving through the business to support production and customer demand. The successful Supply Chain Coordinator will be someone who enjoys problem-solving, managing priorities, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams in a fast-moving engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of MRP outputs, ensuring purchasing requirements are generated accurately and aligned with demand
Convert demand requirements into timely purchase orders to maintain consistent material flow
Manage supplier schedules, expediting orders where required to minimise production disruption
Monitor supply risks and take proactive action to protect delivery performance
Maintain stock levels across production materials, consumables, and spare parts
Investigate stock discrepancies and support ongoing stock accuracy processes
Raise, manage, and track purchase orders while maintaining accurate system data
Work closely with production, warehouse, and service teams to manage shortages and priorities
Provide regular updates on material availability, risks, and recovery plans
Build strong supplier relationships and support supplier performance improvements
Maintain accurate information within MRP/ERP systems including lead times, pricing, and order updates
Produce reports relating to shortages, overdue orders, and supplier performance
Essential Skills
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator, Planner, Buyer, or within a similar supply chain role
Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
SAP system experience
Experience managing suppliers, expediting orders, and stock control
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills across internal departments and external suppliers
Desirable Experiene
Experience supporting production planning activities
Knowledge of inventory control and material scheduling
