Quality Delivery Engineer
Main Purpose:
As a Quality Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project quality arrangements throughout the project lifecycle, including both internal and external activities. You will conduct project audit activities to assess the implementation status of these arrangements and report any findings. Additionally, you will be expected to perform specific tasks on behalf of the Assurance function as needed.
Key Result Areas:
- Implement and manage project quality arrangements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide expert advice on quality management, including identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Establish effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including suppliers.
- Conduct thorough audits, both internally and externally, to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
- Provide accurate man hour and cost estimates as part of the quality input for bids and tenders.
- Participate in project meetings and contract review/handover meetings.
- Support the project team in addressing and resolving quality non-conformances and issues.
- Review and approve supplier quality arrangements, including necessary customer approvals.
- Monitor progress against project quality arrangements, escalate any concerns to line management when necessary.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their quality assurance, quality control, and inspection requirements.
- Review project documentation for quality requirements and specifications, and identify any project-specific requirements.
- Develop quality plans and project-specific procedures or instructions, taking into account health, safety, and environmental aspects.
- Liaise with project subcontractors and suppliers to ensure understanding of quality and specification requirements.
- Review purchase requisitions and purchase orders for quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate their quality performance.
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of the Nuclear industry.
- Thorough understanding of relevant regulations and legislation.
- Familiarity with customer quality requirements.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001.
Other:
- Ideally hold a HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as engineering.
- Auditor training is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various locations and sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
