About the Opportunity
SibiNet is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading infrastructure consultancy, for an experienced Commercial Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional to broaden their expertise across programme performance and cost control while supporting the successful delivery of high-value infrastructure programmes in the Midlands region.
You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team that blends commercial expertise with advanced programme performance tools, giving you the chance to grow your skills and contribute to complex, high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee cost and performance management across major infrastructure programmes.
* Translate commercial insights into actionable strategies that drive effective cost control.
* Collaborate with planners, project controls specialists, and client stakeholders to ensure financial transparency and accurate reporting.
* Support the implementation of project controls tools, systems, and methodologies.
* Deliver data-driven insights to clients, enabling better decision-making and project outcomes.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clarity on cost, performance, and risk.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, or procurement within infrastructure.
* Strong financial acumen and interest in data-driven decision-making, including exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Familiarity with infrastructure contracts (NEC preferred).
* Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
* Ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for expanding technical capabilities.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with confidence at senior levels.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage varied workloads.
* A sense of professional curiosity with a drive to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Professional membership (e.g., MRICS) is desirable but not essential.
