Job Description
:
The Area Head of Technology, Customer & Operations (TCO) will establish close and integrate ties with operating business units by defining the strategy for implementing WMS/TMS applications and integration to help the business improve efficiencies, reduce costs and support business growth as well as supporting effective day to day running of all operations through capacity alignment, team enablement and business engagement.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Manage project pipeline from the Maersk Contract Logistics business to ensure TCO colleagues are adequately staffed-up to align with required timelines
2. Attend any business review meetings with potential, new or existing customers and gather/understand/follow-up areas of concern and improvement ·
3. Work with business and operational teams to understand their requirements to implement and deliver any appropriate IT solutions ·
4. Develop the TCO team to upskill them · ·
5. Co-ordinate with global teams and extended Maersk colleagues to support any necessary WMS development or customisation ·
6. Work with Platform Product Owner, Maersk.com and other internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT services and infrastructure ·
7. Ensure Technical KPIs are maintained across change and support ·
8. Review existing implementations to find any improvement opportunities ·
9. Establish and maintain change control, incident and escalation procedures · Act as communicator and escalation point during major incidents ·
10. Support any system migrations and upgrades ·
11. Work collaboratively with Business Development teams as a Tech representative for new business opportunities ·
12. Provide IT key account management services to business critical customers per business need
13. Support with the maintenance of third-party contracts, working alongside both MCL Tech and procurement teams per business need Ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of outsourced IT services. ·
14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and innovation. · ·
15. Foster a collaborative environment for team members and peers, promoting strong engagement.
Person Specification:
16. Significant Experiencing Implementing, managing and supporting Warehouse Management Systems and daily work using Bl analysis tools.
17. Experience managing and developing high performing teams.
18. Business knowledge of supply chain execution in the following verticals -
19. Distribution centre services in warehouse operations and Contract Logistics. Transport Management
20. Experience in organising and managing major IT projects such as system updates, migrations, upgrades, outages (Certified project manager an added advantage) ·
21. Track record of delivering high engagement within teams
22. Experience in MS SQL, or any SQL language will be an added advantage
23. Experience of agile tools and ways of working is desirable
