Security Officer (evening shift)
Location: Wrexham, LL13 9XT.
Hours: Monday‑Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our global security management team. The role focuses on preventing unauthorized access to our facilities, protecting or housing sensitive data and IT assets. The successful candidate will be trained on security policies, procedures, and use of physical and electronic security tools such as locks, biometrics, smart cards, keys, cameras, and other systems.
Responsibilities
* Support site and regional security operations under the guidance of the EMEA Associate Director.
* Manage the physical security of the Wrexham office, covering routine operations and internal/external events.
* Respond to incidents swiftly, resolving them with minimal disruption, and identify improvements for future response protocols.
* Build partnerships with internal stakeholders to enable safe working environments.
* Collaborate with physical security systems managers/technicians.
* Represent DTCC core values, behaviours and standards with professionalism and integrity.
* Implement departmental security protocols and maintain local baseline practices.
* Provide guidance to visitors and vendors on security procedures.
* Participate in the Life Safety program and evidence eviction exercises.
* Control access to prevent trespassing and protect people and property.
* Supply information for security investigations, including access‑control logs and CCTV footage.
* Align risk management processes into daily tasks and elevate observed risks as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 2 + years in a corporate security officer position.
* Valid SIA Badge (front‑line).
* Strong interpersonal and decision‑making skills with a proven customer‑service focus.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills; a keen eye for detail and ownership of tasks.
* Experience handling alarms, drafting incident reports, visitor management and routine patrols within a corporate environment.
