Join a growing team where you’re more than just a number.
We’re working with a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy that’s continuing its regional expansion with a thriving Liverpool office. After successfully launching offices in Nottingham and Derby, the business opened in Liverpool two years ago and has already built a team of 9 civil and structural professionals. With 110 staff across the business, they combine the resources of a national consultancy with the personal, client-first culture of a local team.
About the Role
They’re now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to help drive project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients across a range of exciting schemes. This is a key hire to support their continued growth and help shape the direction of the Liverpool office.
You’ll work on a wide variety of private sector projects—logistics, residential (including frameworks with housing associations), schools, commercial refurbishments, and industrial works for major names like Nestlé, Jaguar, and Toyota. Project values range from quick-turnaround site surveys to multi-million-pound regeneration projects—some exceeding £1Bn.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead and deliver structural design across multiple projects (typically 6–8 at once)
Attend client meetings and represent the business professionally and confidently
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Work on a variety of structures including portal frames, housing, and commercial refurbishments
Contribute to a team culture where autonomy and trust are central
What they’re looking for:
8–12 years of structural engineering experience
Confident working independently and in client-facing situations
Strong technical capability across residential and commercial structural projects
Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE/IStructE preferred)
Experience working on multiple concurrent projects with varied timelines
What’s in it for you:
Salary between £50,000–£60,000 DOE
A genuinely supportive and people-focused environment
Autonomy, variety, and meaningful responsibility
Flexible working arrangements considered on a case-by-case basis
A chance to grow with a business that’s ambitious but grounded in strong values
This is a great opportunity to join a company that has grown steadily by building strong client relationships and delivering quality work, without burning out their people. You’ll be joining a team that takes pride in what they do, turns away work that doesn’t fit, and truly values its staff.
