Document Controller (H&S) Cambuslang Salary starting from £32,240 per annum plus excellent benefits Flexible & Hybrid Working Permanent Closing Date: 7 September 2025 Help us create a better future, quicker With plans to see SP Energy Networks (SPEN), part of the ScottishPower Group, look to invest over £10bn in transmission projects across our transmission network in central and southern Scotland by 2030, the SPT Projects Health and Safety team will play a key role in enabling SPEN to work at pace to deliver the transmission network that is required to achieve Scottish and UK Government 2030 targets. SP Transmission is currently recruiting a Document Controller to join our Health and Safety team in across SPT Projects business unit. This Team provides business wide leadership, strategy and direction integrating business and group H&S policies, programs and processes in support of operational excellence, legal compliance and safe working practices. The Document Controller supports the team of H&S Consultants and Advisors who provide Health and Safety support services across SPT throughout the lifecycle of a project. This role would be well suited to an individual who has an interest in Health and Safety and would be interested in developing and progressing a career in Health and Safety, working their way up within the team. What you’ll be doing Within this position, you will: Create, maintain and continue development of H&S Databases such as Power BI. Assist with achieving Health and Safety monitoring targets (inspections, incidents and KPI data). Contribute and deliver Health and Safety initiatives projects and agreed deliverables. Proactively influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders with a view to improving Health and Safety performance. Prepare monthly reports including data collection and analysis. Prepare Contractor reports for dissemination to the wider business. Develop opportunities for best-practice exchanges across the business including regular facilitation of workshops and meetings. Assist with the promotion, development and review of projects which support the delivery of the health and safety policy and strategy. Organise meetings and working groups including minute taking and action tracking. Assist with the management, gathering and reporting on H&S KPIs supporting the governance and assurance of H&S. Pro-actively benchmark internally and externally to improve SPT H&S performance from e.g., latest process and procedures to latest technologies. Prepare business communications related to H&S matters such as incidents and investigations. Manage project trackers ensuring information is correct and accurate. Pro-actively attend site, shadowing other Consultants and Advisors in the team, for potential progression. The postholder will have to complete various training programmes due to operational requirements. These include, but are not restricted to: Competent Person Training Basic First Aid Training Safety Passport Training What you’ll bring To be successful, as a minimum you will have to demonstrate: Strong IT including MS Packages, coordination, organisation and administration skills. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Ability to interpret and present information in a logical and ordered manner. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
