The Role Summary
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Planned Maintenance team at a busy local authority. This role will involve booking appointments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the delivery of housing stock condition inspections. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced administrator looking for flexible hybrid work in a supportive, public sector setting.
Your key duties within the role will include:
Book appointments for surveyors to carry out housing inspections and maintain accurate records of attendance, refusals, and no-shows.
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Liaise with tenants and colleagues to ensure smooth communication and efficient scheduling.
Maintain up-to-date customer and inspection records using Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and internal systems.
Support the wider planned maintenance team with ad hoc admin tasks to reduce service disruption.
Ensure GDPR compliance and accuracy in data handling.Requirements
Proven administrative experience within a customer service environment.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Confident using IT systems and software, including Excel and SharePoint.
Familiarity with GDPR and data handling procedures.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
Experience in social housing, planned maintenance, or property services.
