Job description: Business Development Executive Location: Telford, Shropshire Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Uncapped Commission Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and target-driven Business Development Executive to join a growing Fastener manufacturing business in Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional with a proven ability to develop new business, manage client relationships, and drive growth in both established and emerging markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s UK presence, with the opportunity to explore European markets for those confident in doing so. Key Responsibilities * Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the UK (and Europe if comfortable). * Develop strong, long-term relationships with new clients, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction. * Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closing deals. * Maintain and grow the accounts you bring onboard, acting as the key point of contact. * Prepare proposals and quotations tailored to client needs. * Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. * Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to company growth. * Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and pipeline activity. Skills & Experience Essential: * Proven background in business development, account management, or sales. * Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently. * Comfortable prospecting and closing new business opportunities. Desirable: * Experience within the fasteners industry or a related industrial/manufacturing sector. * Knowledge of European markets. * Ability to manage both short and long-term sales cycles
