Pay rate: £37.00 p/h inside IR35. Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours at a premium rate - 25% Mon-Fri and 50% Sat-Sun. 20% shift uplift for working shifts.
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join the Manufacturing Technologies team at a leading aerospace organization. This role involves supporting and deploying advanced automated machinery for aircraft wing assembly.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy and support automated assembly systems including Cartesian machines, CNCs, industrial robots, and cobots.
* Define requirements for new machinery and develop automated assembly processes.
* Manage automation projects from concept to implementation.
* Provide technical support on machine performance and process improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Strong background in automation and robotics.
* Understanding of aerospace production processes and REACH legislation.
* Proficient in digital tools and data analysis (e.g., Minitab, Skywise).
* Experience in project management and structured problem-solving methods (e.g., PPS).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
