About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Whether you’re managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you’ll do so with kindness and attention to detail.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You should have excellent time management and organizational skills, along with positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. Strong communication skills, including listening and giving clear instructions, are essential. You will communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues alike.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and additional role-specific training, and to seek advice and report concerns as needed.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with qualification support
* GP online service for you and your children under 16
* Learning from experienced colleagues in a supportive team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Confidential Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a Friend scheme up to £1000 per referral
We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds. Our goal is to ensure a positive onboarding experience, from job offer to your first day and beyond.
