Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. The position is based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This is an office-based role, working office hours, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
While based in Winfrith, you may need to have the flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* Design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure police officers, staff, and other members meet the force's requirements and priorities.
* Focus on delivering initial and force training programs across defined geographic areas, including specific or targeted training for groups of staff. The posts are based across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, prepare annual training schedules, and design, develop, and deliver various training packages, including initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic; there may be a requirement to deliver training as a facilitator or lecturer in other areas as needed.
* Design and deliver training packages, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing available technology and adopting innovative delivery methods.
* Identify individual and organizational training needs through training needs analysis, and discuss these with line management and senior staff. Assess skills and abilities against relevant standards fairly and accurately.
Please note, due to Police criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
