GSL Education are recruiting a Design Technology Teacher for schools located across Barnsley’s S70 and S71 areas, inspiring pupils through creative lessons in design, materials, and problem‑solving. As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will create structured, hands-on lessons, encourage creative thinking, and help students develop technical skills and confidence. Prime Responsibilities: Plan and deliver lessons across various Design Technology topics. Ensure safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials. Support students in completing projects and developing design solutions. Provide constructive feedback to monitor progress and encourage improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the wider curriculum. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Experience delivering lessons as a Design Technology Teacher. Strong practical and organisational skills. Excellent communication and classroom management abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
