Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
* Full GMC registration, Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (CCT date must be within 6 months of interview). CESR or European Community rights
* FRCR or eequivalent
Desirable criteria
* Advanced Communications training
Experience and effectivness
Essential criteria
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of adult patients
* Demonstrate use of evidence based practice
* Demonstrate evidence of sub-specialty / specific tumour site training
Desirable criteria
* Willing and able to help develop oncology services
Knowledge and skills
Essential criteria
* Willingness and ability to fulfil all key elements of the job description
* Experience of / ability to supervise and train junior doctors
* Ability to develop effective working relationships on an individual, multi-professional and team basis with all levels of staff
Desirable criteria
* Experience of service planning and developments
* Clinical / educational supervisor training
