Care-Taker (Ballymena) Ballymena, County Antrim Negotiable Posted April 12, 2024 Our client in Ballymena is currerently seeking a casual on call Caretaker based in Ballymena Hours: Between the hours of 9.00am - 10pm. As and when required, including evenings, weekends, Public/Bank Holidays in accordance with the needs of the service. Rate of pay £12.18ph Job duties: Be the primary key holder for designated community centre(s) as and when required. This will include ensuring that the premises are opened and secured in a timely manner, as directed by the Community Services/Development Officer. Responsible for the security of the Centre, in co-operation with the Community Services/Development Officer and to control access to all parts of the buildings and responding to all call-outs. Be present on site and provide cover for bookings/activities in line with health and safety requirements as indicated by the Community Services/Development Officer. Ensure that all areas of the Centre, including associated facilities, are kept in a secure clean and hygienic condition and complete weekly cleaning schedules including the removal of litter or graffiti from the outside of the building on a weekly basis. Use all equipment and substances in a safe and proper manner according to instruction. Ensure that all associated centre facilities and adjacent buildings are opened and closed as required, where appropriate. Ensure adjacent playground facility litter bins are emptied and all litter is removed on a daily basis, where applicable. Respond to routine enquires by telephone or personal callers and liaise with facility user groups. Liaise closely on a range of Health and Safety regulations with the various groups and organisations using the premises. Essential Criteria Criterion 1 Have a minimum of 3 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy. Criterion 2 Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of six months' ( one year if Criterion 1 is not met) experience in the The operation of facilities to include cleaning and security duties. Criterion 3 Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of six months' ( one year if Criterion 1 is not met) experience in the Dealing with members of the public and queries.
