Main Responsibilities
* Review, consult on, and support the implementation of People and Culture policies in line with employment legislation, best practice, and council values
* Monitor changes in employment law and advise on implications for council policies and practices
* Collaborate with People and Culture colleagues, trade unions, legal advisors, and service managers to ensure policies are practical, legally sound, and aligned with organisational needs
* Provide expert advice and guidance on complex HR policy development to senior leaders and People and Culture Business Partners
The Ideal Candidate
• Full Membership of CIPD
• Relevant experience of employee relations and policy development in a unionised environment.
• Ability to analyse complex HR processes and produce logical and accessible policies and procedures
There will be some requirement to work in the office. Interviews will be in person.
This is a full time role on atemporary contract basis
