At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the Role:
To lecture and conduct both theoretical and practical sessions in dog grooming, primarily to Further Education (FE) students at Level 3. To take responsibility for managing a cohort of full-time learners. To support the delivery and development of GCSE, Functional Skills, and Key Skills, ensuring student success through preparation for exams, portfolio completion, and practical assessment. To follow Writtle College administrative protocols to maintain accurate training and assessment records. To contribute to the planning and ongoing development of dog grooming courses and programs. To play an active role in student recruitment and in promoting the visibility and reputation of dog grooming education at Writtle College. To regularly participate in technical training and maintain up-to-date records of continuing professional development in line with CPD expectations.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have a level 2 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent, vocational qualification at NVQ level 4 or equivalent. You will also have an appropriate endorsed teaching qualification (or required to commence studies within 1 year of employment).
