Offer description

We are seeking a Higher Executive Officer (HEO) to work within the TRA Branch to contribute to training portfolio. The HEO Role will be responsible for managing CEMA training and contributing to design of new training requirements.

As part of a wider team, your role is to ensure customers’ requirements are captured in accordance with Army and Defence training policy and that training delivered remains compliant, role aligned and safe. You will also be involved in work that contributes to the evolution of the Skills Based Organisation. This is a rewarding role that contributes directly to real-world operational activity. You will work with a team of passionate and experienced professionals who strive for the betterment Army Training and Education.


Key responsibilities

* Ensure that the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) process within the D Info is managed and governed to the highest standard through the Customer Executive Board (CEB) and CEB Working Groups. These meet twice yearly with an aim of reviewing Training Requirements, agreeing Training levels and targets, examining results of recent and future assurance activities and to highlight any emerging training issues and risks.
* Collaborate with senior managers, aiding their decision making through the provision of advice on how best to deliver training requirements that align with Army and Defence training policy.
* Lead Officer and single point of contact within D INFO TRA for the CEMA capability area focused in-service training issues, priorities, deficiencies and waivers.
* Production and maintenance of CEMA Statement of Trained Requirement (SOTR).
* Manage and assure SOTR to Statement of Training Task (SOTT) process to identify and agree training risk within Intelligence domain.
* Staff and coordinate training Requests for Change (RFC) to Training Delivery Authorities (TDA) for in-service training.
* Provide support to D Futures and D Programmes with regards to Capability Development Training Line of Development (DLOD) requirements in accordance with Army and Defence Trg Policy.
* Professionally develop your own Knowledge and Skills within Defence Learning and Education to advise Directorate staff and wider Army and Defence stakeholder communities.
* Contribute to D Info Head of Profession work that enables adoption of the Skills Based Organisation.
* Create a culture and environment of innovation, collaboration and empowerment to achieve new ways of maximising the training delivered to soldiers and Officers.
* Deputise for Line Manager and Assistant Head.
