Site Engineer / Geologist
Salary: £28,000 / year + van and fuel card.
Overview
A Site Engineer is required to join a Ground Investigation contractor on a permanent basis in Glasgow. You will supervise and manage teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in technical, commercial, and HSEQ aspects. You will also record rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and conduct field testing and surveying.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage project teams on site.
* Ensure compliance with technical, commercial and HSEQ requirements.
* Log and analyse rock and soil samples from boreholes and trial pits.
* Carry out field testing and surveying.
Qualifications
* Degree level in a related field such as Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
* Minimum 6–12 months experience conducting ground investigations.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Proficient with MS Office.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites.
