At DLG Legal Services, our mission is to make law easy and accessible to everyone. As part of the Direct Line Group, we provide legal services to over 50,000 DLG customers each year. Customers can access our legal Advice-line team and our growing list of services includes personal injury, employment, property, inheritance, and contract litigation. We also support our parent group, litigating on their behalf.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Bromley based Legal Services team as a Claims Handler, onfull-time and 15 Months Secondment basis.
The Role:
You will be onboarding new customers and thereafter assisting in the progression of a caseload of non-injury, non-litigated claims for the recovery of uninsured losses following a road traffic accident.
What you'll be doing:
Representing DLG Legal Services in the conduct of client matters in utilising the prescribed processes in a professional manner.
Converting client referrals into customers.
Managing a client’s claim as part of a team by continually utilising the firms prescribed processes and accurately documenting each activity that has taken place.
Providing clear and accurate information in a user friendly manner whilst proactively managing the Client’s expectations.
Managing cases effectively, as part of a team, making sure that client work is progressed efficiently to meet team targets and Service Level Agreements and the client is kept proactively informed where appropriate.
Ensuring incoming post is reviewed daily and responded to promptly.
Referring clients to Customer Liaison Injury.
Reporting to a team leader any potential conflicts, complaints and potential acts of negligence, demonstrating a highly professional manner and reflecting the brand image and customer ethos of DLG Legal Services.
Working together with colleagues to build relationships with other departments and suppliers.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
2. Experience working in legal environment, or claims handling would be advantageous.
3. Previous experience of RTA claims, as well as having a good road awareness would be beneficial.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Consistent record of achieving targets
