Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Panama Shift (Days + Nights) – £47,500 – Doncaster

The team is expanding and investing in new technology and high-tech automation digital management systems.
Primary Purpose
You will be responsible for working in a clean automated environment during an exciting growth phase for the company. As a key member of the Maintenance team, you will ensure the smooth operation of the factory in a safe and effective manner, following health and safety guidance. You will perform repairs, breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance, and report any equipment faults or malfunctions that cannot be fixed. You will work with conveyor systems, ASRS systems, sort systems, scanning and labeling systems.
Responsibilities
* Maintain all materials handling equipment and ensure an efficient operation of the Building Management System.
* Keep maintenance areas (warehouse, plant and equipment) clean and tidy; manage maintenance stores and workshop areas.
* Receive maintenance spares and equipment and locate them in stores or the maintenance workshop.
* Support a flexible and common-sense approach to Health and Safety, notifying Team Managers and others of hazards; ensure the safety of others in the warehouse areas.
* Assist in the completion and review of risk assessments for the department.
* Undertake regular health & safety inspections with the Site Management Team.
* Promote and participate in activities within the department and on site; participate in and encourage idea generation to benefit departments through STPs in line with Target Zero.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and adherence to safe systems of work and procedures.

Qualifications / Experience
* Experience of working within a similar role (FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Waste to Recycling, Baggage Handling, Automated warehousing).
* A proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Experience of working within a high-pressured environment.
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering (electrical or mechanical).

* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
