HW Finance are proud to be partnering with a growing SME to help appoint a new Head of Finance reporting directly into the MD.
The Group Head of Finance will provide strategic and operational leadership across all finance functions, acting as a key business partner to the Board and executive team.
You'll take ownership of financial management, reporting, planning, and governance across multiple entities — ensuring strong control, accurate insights, and informed decision-making at every level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead group-wide finance operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
* Strengthen financial systems, processes, and governance frameworks.
* Deliver management accounts, performance reports, and cash flow forecasts.
* Provide strategic insight to support commercial decision-making and growth initiatives.
* Lead financial modelling, scenario planning, and investment appraisals.
* Oversee working capital, funding, and group cash management.
* Support and execute M&A activity, including due diligence and post-deal integration.
* Manage external relationships with auditors, advisors, and investors.
Ideal candidate:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or project-based environment.
* Strong technical finance capability combined with commercial acumen.
* Experience leading or supporting M&A transactions.
