This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys understanding business drivers and turning financial data into meaningful recommendations.Key responsibilities Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision makingProduce forward looking forecasts and scenario planning models across different areas of the businessAnalyse the financial impact of changing market conditions, operational activity and investment decisionsSupport annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processesProvide commercial insight and challenge to senior stakeholdersWork alongside non-finance teams to understand key drivers of business performanceReview trends, risks and opportunities and communicate findings clearly to managementAssist with business cases, investment proposals and strategic initiativesDevelop reporting and modelling tools to improve planning and decision-making capabilityCandidate profile Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experienceStrong commercial awareness with the ability to look beyond standard reportingExperience within a fast-paced or operationally focused business environment would be advantageousStrong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data setsComfortable engaging with stakeholders across finance and wider business teamsAbility to present complex financial information in a clear and practical wayProactive approach with the ability to work independentlyPackage and working pattern Salary circa £60,000 depending on experiencePension scheme and additional benefits packageHybrid working arrangement availableFull-time permanent position based in the Pontefract area25 days holiday plus bank holidaysIPS Finance has 45 years experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
