General Foreman – Civil Engineering
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven General Foreman to join a well-established, family-led civil engineering and construction business operating across the UK. With over 60 years of industry experience, the organisation delivers a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects spanning sectors such as earthworks, infrastructure, energy, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily site operations on civil engineering projects
Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and plant to ensure efficient delivery
Ensure all works are carried out safely, in line with company procedures and industry standards
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to Site Management
Maintain high standards of quality and environmental compliance
Support planning and coordination of labour, materials, and plant requirements
Promote a positive, team-focused culture on site
About You
Proven experience in a General Foreman or supervisory role within civil engineering
Strong background in infrastructure, earthworks, or related sectors
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practice
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and meet programme deadlines
SSSTS/SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred
Full UK driving licence
