Electrical Tester
Location: Central Birmingham
Salary: £25.41 per hour PAYE
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30 – 5.30
Contract: Contract of Employment
Experience required: 2 years or more
Qualifications: Gold ECS Card for PAT Testing and High Power Tools Testing
Responsibilities
* Carry out periodic inspections, PAT testing, and maintenance of BBV power tools and equipment.
* Diagnose faults and perform small repairs on electrical tools and equipment as required.
* Manage the allocation, tracking, and return of tools and equipment across site operations.
* Maintain accurate records using live file systems/software and keep inventory information up to date.
* Admit tools and equipment for repair and coordinate their return to site efficiently.
* Work proactively with site teams and management to ensure tools and equipment remain compliant, safe, and operational.
* Support the management of a small stores/workshop environment, ensuring equipment is organised and maintained correctly.
* Use computer systems and email communication effectively to support reporting and day‑to‑day operations.
* Work safely and efficiently in accordance with site safety rules and company procedures.
