Enable reasonable adjustments to help students to engage. Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task. Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks. Assist with Personal Care and health needs. Promote our college values. What we are looking for in our ideal candidate: - GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent - or willing to work towards gaining this qualification - Happy to undergo relevant training - Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses - Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential) - A positive ‘can do’ attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable - A team player yet also able to work independently - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
