Join to apply for the MRI Technologist role at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Under supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, competently performs imaging on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner. Responsible for scanning and preparing images for review per MRI protocols. Must have the ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy, perform MRIs and inject contrast media where applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.
Responsibilities
* Perform imaging on a 1.5 T MRI scanner and prepare images for review per MRI protocols.
* Recognize cross-sectional anatomy and perform MRIs; inject contrast media where applicable.
* Provide service excellence and comply with hospital policies and procedures.
* Utilize RIS/PACS and HIS for recording patient exams and disseminating patient results.
Minimum Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Completed education requirements to become Certified in MRI
Minimum Work Experience
* Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
* Digital Imaging and post-processing PACS experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
* MRI certified by ARRT (ARMRIT or CAMRT)*
* BLS Certification through American Heart Association
* Must obtain 24 ECE credits within a two-year period for recertification and licensure
* 2 MRI Safety Credits annually or acquire within first year of employment
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
* Knowledge of care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues for patients of all ages (infant to geriatric)
* Strong communication skills to relay information effectively
* Ability to plan, organize, and set goals and objectives
* Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and TJC Standards
* Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy
* Ability to establish IV access for contrast administration
* Knowledge of basic medical equipment (e.g., O2 tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines)
* Demonstrated basic computer skills
Pay Range
$33.32 - $49.27
