The Opportunity
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, commissioning support, fault diagnosis, and system optimisation on a variety of power generation installations.
Working across customer sites, you will ensure equipment remains operational, efficient, and compliant while delivering exceptional levels of service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Service Delivery
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical installations and power generation equipment
* Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance activities
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely
* Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
Fault Finding & Technical Support
* Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical control panels and associated systems
* Interrogate, programme, and configure generator control systems
* Identify root causes of electrical and control system failures
* Support customers by providing technical advice and recommendations
* Escalate complex technical issues where necessary
System Optimisation
* Monitor and improve operational performance of installed systems
* Support efforts to improve efficiency, reliability, and productivity
* Assist customers in reducing downtime and operational inefficiencies
* Ensure installations operate to optimum performance levels
Customer Service & Compliance
* Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
* Build strong working relationships with clients and site personnel
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
* Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles to a high standard

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
✔ ONC/D, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
Essential Experience & Skills
✔ Minimum of 3 years' industrial electrical engineering experience
✔ Time-served Electrical Technician or Electrical Engineer
✔ Strong experience working with:
* Electrical control systems
* Industrial electrical installations
* Power generation equipment
* Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
✔ Proven ability to interrogate and programme:
* ComAp Generator Controllers
* Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) Generator Controllers
✔ Experience fault-finding electrical control panels
✔ Ability to read and interpret:
* Electrical schematics
* Control drawings
* Technical design documentation
✔ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
✔ Full UK driving licence

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Additional Requirements
* Participation in an established 24-hour call-out rota
* Occasional weekend working
* Out-of-hours attendance when required
* Flexibility to travel across customer sites throughout Northern Ireland
