Full Job Description

Core subject (Maths, English, or Science)SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and otherAdditional Educational Needs required in South Yorkshire.

Multiple positions are available and hiring isongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.

Weare on a mission to transform the quality of education provided toyoung people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (SpecialEducation Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMHneeds (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasinglysupporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate LearningDifficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).

We arelooking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transformingthe lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in SouthYorkshire.

At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise thestandard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people inthe UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supportedthroughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND SupportSpecialists.

This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SENDteachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children andyoung people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative,flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise theirengagement and drastically improve the outlook of their educationaljourney.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* This role will involve providing Maths, English, orScience tuition to young people with Special Education Needs andDisabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH),Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or otherAdditional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* These young people are referred to us by local authorities andschools and will require some level of support in their educationaland social-emotional journey
* If selected, your role will beto provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informedtutoring and mentoring
SEN /SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring
* Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessionswhich meet their needs and advance their educational andsocial-emotional journey
* Completing lesson reports andproviding feedback on the young person's progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified TeacherStatus / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD,SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience,knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UKwith the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments

It is a strict requirement that you have the abilityto work in a way that promotes the health, safety and wellbeing ofchildren and young people and follow safeguarding policies andprocedures at all times.

SEN / SENDTutor employment status:
* This positioninvolves engaging with us as a Worker, to provide short-termengagements as and when they arise
* You will work through acontract for service and will be paid via PAYE
* We do notoffer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage
* Ourinsurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not aself-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
