Children's Home Registered Manager - OFSTED
Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: up to £60,000, DOE, including bonuses
Hours: 40 Hours Monday - Friday with on-call duties
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of staff, ensuring they are supported and trained to an excellent standard to provide high-quality care and support to the children and young people living in the residential children's home.
* Engage with children, set examples and build excellent rapport to enable independence.
* Support with recruitment, ensuring safer recruitment processes are followed to a high standard.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for OFSTED inspections.
* Develop care plans and oversee safeguarding procedures.
* Build strong relationships with external professionals and families.
* Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children, ensuring best practice.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Management Role within a Children’s residential care setting, with a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Outstanding or Good Ofsted ratings within children’s homes (previous experience desirable).
* Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards.
* Previous OFSTED registration and strong understanding of care regulations, including MH & DOLS experience.
* Knowledge of therapeutic care, safeguarding, and behaviour de-escalation.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Driving licence and ability to work on-call.
