My client is a Lexcel accredited specialist property solicitors, based in South West London. Due to outstanding growth, they are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive Residential Property Lawyer to join their successful team. You will provide legal and practical advice and assistance to clients on a wide range of residential property matters.

You will need to have at least 2-5 years’ PQE and have experience dealing with all types of residential (freehold and leasehold) purchases, sales, lease extensions, re-mortgages and the alike. Average caseload is around - active files.

Key responsibilities and duties

1. Advising clients on all aspects of residential property transactions and managing an active caseload of matters;
2. To provide an excellent standard of “Client Care” and quality of service at all times;
3. To proactively deliver accurate and up-to-date legal advice to clients that takes account of the commercial pressures on clients;
4. Perform work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the company’s quality and risk procedures;
5. To work as a team member;
6. To meet profit cost targets and other agreed targets in areas such as the generation of new business;
7. Keep up to date on all changes in the law and practice within the areas of work;
8. To assist the firm in implementing its Business Plan; and
9. To participate in the marketing of the firm.

Qualifications and skills required

10. Broad range of experience in dealing with residential conveyancing (freeholds and leaseholds) including dealing with Licences to Alter, Lease Extensions and Deeds of Variation.
11. Previous exposure to leasehold enfranchisement desirable but not essential.
12. Ability to work with confidence, managing own caseload (with minimal supervision).
13. Good computer literacy, including knowledge of case management systems.
14. Ability to generate fee income to a set target based a multiple of their salary.
15. Clear understanding of Money Laundering Regulations, Solicitors Account Rules and other regulatory obligations.
16. Previous experience working in a Lexcel and CQS accredited firm desirable but not essential.
17. Strong planning and organisational skills and an ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
18. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
19. Ability to create and nurture relationships with key clients at all levels.
20. Desire to provide a high quality service.
21. High level of integrity.
22. Commercial approach to the delivery of legal services.
23. Client focused.
24. Hardworking, proactive and positive attitude.

Salary will be £k-£k dependent on experience, with hybrid working options after probation is completed.
