Family Nurse – NHS Tayside
Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) – Band 7 – Two full‑time posts (37 hours per week, 36 hours from 01 April 2026 with no change to pay).
Key responsibilities
* Deliver the FNP programme to first‑time young parents, building therapeutic relationships and providing safe, effective, patient‑centred care across NHS Tayside.
* Support the Scottish child health surveillance programme and manage a caseload of young parents.
* Apply child protection policies, child development, and maternal psychology in home‑based care.
* Participate in mandatory NES FNP Foundation and ongoing training, including residential training in Glasgow or Edinburgh, and have the opportunity to undertake a Professional Diploma in Family Nursing.
Required qualifications and experience
* Registered Nurse, Midwife or Health Visitor (post‑registration).
* Significant post‑registration experience working with children and/or young people in their homes.
* Experience in general community nursing or midwifery home visiting with structured home‑visiting programmes.
* Resilience, strong communication skills and a commitment to therapeutic, person‑centred care.

* Needs to undertake NES FNP Foundation training (9–13 March 2026) and continuing training over the next 18 months.
