Salary: £13.75 - £14.25 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are a warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of Chorley, looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team. This is more than just a support role – it’s a chance to help shape the first steps of a child’s learning journey.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum through play, exploration, and structured activities
* Leading small group sessions in early literacy and numeracy, including phonics
* Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Observing, assessing, and recording children’s development in line with EYFS outcomes
* Offering individual support to children with additional needs where required

Who We’re Looking For
* Someone with a genuine passion for working with young children
* Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
* Experience in a nursery, preschool, or primary EYFS setting
* Knowledge of EYFS Framework and early phonics schemes (e.g., RWI or Jolly Phonics)
* A team player with a positive attitude and a nurturing approach
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one
