Responsibilities
The candidate will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
– Identify, develop, and implement effective sales plans, action plans and strategies
– Meet or exceed defined sales targets
– Maintain open communication and collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, including product, sales planning, etc. to maximize revenue
– Directly contributing to product development process through active participation in product reviews by providing market & client insights
– Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
– Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers of dealers and customers
– Develop leads and build the pipeline
– Negotiate pricing, prepare proposals and close sale
– Partner with the account management team to service, maintain and grow current clients
– Sales payment collection
– Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts
– Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers
Qualifications & Experience
– Solid sales experience with construction machinery (ideally excavators)
– Solid quota carrying sales experience
– Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
– Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– A great work ethic
