Job Description
Full time position (169 hrs per month)
Annual salary - From £32.000
Responsible for the implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in particular, the sustainable maintenance and the reduction of energy consumption strategy
1. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on maintenance activities
2. Cover shifts as required including duty manager
3. Set and implement preventative maintenance programmes, thus ensuring quality of the FF&E and plant equipment
4. Control invoices and external providers’ costs
5. Work with GMs to elaborate maintenance budget and ensure compliance of their hotel
6. Complete monthly energy reports and record
COMPLIANCE
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and guests
8. Inspect works to ensure compliance with required standards, and performance targets and take corrective action under direction of line management as appropriate
9. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the hotels under their responsibilities
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
10. Planning, managing and coordinating projects and maintenance works including budgets
11. Produce information, analysis and reports to ensure line management are informed of project/work progress, problems and agreed resolutions
RECRUITMENT & PERSONNELL
12. Supervise and train maintenance team members
13. Manage, coach and develop a high performing and autonomous maintenance team
14. Provide technical expertise and support to the teams
15. Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
16. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
17. Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability
18. Complete departmental performance reviews
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance.
Previous managerial experience is a bonus.
Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
