Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a global group with multiple sites throughout the UK & Europe, this is one of their flagship operations. They are looking for Electrical Shift Engineers due to recent promotions within the team.
Role & Responsibilities:
5. Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering – manufacturing, production, site services and associated facilities
6. Carry out PPM schedules effectively and efficiently
7. Involved with site project work – installations & upgrades to machinery
8. Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
9. Dealing with high-speed food production, processing & packaging machinery, automation & controls
10. PLC – electrical fault finding
11. Worked on motors, servo drives, sensors, inverters, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, compressors
12. Continuous improvements – suggesting new things, sharing ideas
13. Working as part of a small team, sometimes unsupervised
14. Ensure lock off procedures are followed, operate within HSE protocols & SOP’s
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
15. Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
16. Be a multi-skilled engineer – electrically biased
17. Must have worked in a food / FMCG manufacturing environment that is fast paced
18. Working knowledge of a CMMS system desirable
19. Be a team player, want proactive individuals, working in a small team where all contributions matter
20. Minimum qualified – NVQ Level 3 Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
21. 17th or 18th Edition
22. PLC – electrical fault finding
23. Able to fault find both electrically & mechanically
24. Happy working in a time-sensitive busy environment
25. Have experience with continuous improvements & lean manufacturing
26. Must be able to read, understand and work with schematic drawings
