Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Location: GCS Hours: 22 hours per week (part-time) Contract: Permanent About Us We are a friendly and supportive GP surgery committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. About the Role As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support the clinical team in providing excellent patient care. You will work under the guidance of our nurses and GPs, delivering a range of clinical and administrative tasks in line with practice protocols.
Key Responsibilities: Phlebotomy (blood taking) Blood pressure monitoring and weight checks ECG recording NHS Health Checks and chronic disease reviews (under protocol) Supporting the flu and vaccination clinics Wound care and dressings (if trained) Assisting with infection control and health promotion activities Maintaining accurate patient records on the clinical system Supporting patients with lifestyle advice where appropriate General administrative duties to support clinical staff About You: Previous experience working as an HCA in a GP practice or healthcare setting is desirable Phlebotomy experience is essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Organised, reliable and flexible approach Compassionate and committed to delivering patient-centred care
