Senior Commercial Manager
Hybrid, London or Birmingham office.
Our client is a high-profile organisation with a major footprint within the infrastructure sectors. Due to increased demand for their services, they are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to represent a key client in this space.
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will support post-contract management of the client’s supply chain, lead on key post-contract administration & cost certification auditing, and be the main point of contact for managing commercial aspects and issues, ensuring adherence to and promotion of the client’s corporate governance and processes.
This hybrid role is based in London or Birmingham, with flexibility to work from home.
As a Senior Commercial Manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Leading post-contract administration under an NEC 4 contract.
2. Carrying out cost certification auditing work.
3. Contributing to commercial, cost, and project reviews for contracts and suppliers; updating cost and commercial reports with variance analysis.
4. Conducting regular commercial reviews of internal and external supplier costs; devising measures to manage exposure and risks.
5. Managing change control, risks, budgets, and contingencies with the network build teams; providing regular cost data reports and presentations.
6. Leading and managing final account settlements, including proactively managing disputes and claims.
Required experience and skills:
* 8+ years proven experience in a commercial management role, with solid contract, commercial, and risk management expertise.
* Experience leading and managing commercial teams within infrastructure projects under NEC contracts.
* Strong change management skills and experience resolving contract disputes.
* Experience implementing effective contract administration processes and reporting systems aligned with project management.
* Experience working on construction projects under NEC contracts.
* Membership of RICS or a similar recognized professional body.
Salary from £75,000 to £90,000 plus car allowance and benefits.
