Position Overview: They are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Estimator who can hit the ground running, lead the tendering process, and work closely with project and operational teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids. Key Responsibilities: Full responsibility for mechanical tenders from £3m to £25m Detailed analysis of drawings, specifications, and employer requirements Preparation of accurate take-offs and cost estimates Supplier and subcontractor pricing analysis and negotiation Value engineering and alternative solution proposals Close liaison with project managers, directors, and commercial teams Participation in mid and post-tender interviews and negotiations Support smooth handover to operations on successful tenders Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and design & build environments Experience working on high-value commercial and/or residential projects Able to work independently and manage multiple tenders at once Excellent commercial awareness, numeracy, and negotiation skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Contract Type & Benefits: Permanent position only Salary up to £75,000, depending on skills and experience 8am-5pm working hours, Monday to Friday Office-based (no hybrid working) Pension (3% employer contribution after 3 months) Paid holiday entitlement Supportive team environment with access to prestigious, high-value projects
