Recruitment Consultant – Trades & Labour
£26,400
£32,000 OTE in year one!
We are seeking a sales-driven Recruitment Consultant to join our Birmingham office, specialising in the fast-paced Trades & Labour market.
As a Recruitment Consultant, your focus will be to develop and nurture relationships with organisations across the West Midlands, supplying skilled blue collar workers to meet urgent project demands. This is a dynamic, high-volume market where speed, resilience, and strong relationship-building skills are key to success.
You will be conducting business development (sales calls) to engage site managers, project leads, and hiring managers, while sourcing and placing candidates into roles such as labourers, tradespeople, and site operatives. This is a sales-based role where you will enjoy uncapped commission alongside your base salary.

Your new role
The responsibilities of a Trades & Labour Recruitment Consultant include:
* Making cold calls and sales calls to prospective clients to sell our services within Trades & Labour
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with organisations and key decision makers
* Actively engaging with face-to-face meetings on-site and in-office with managers and supervisors
* Sourcing, screening, and placing candidates quickly into live vacancies
* Ensuring compliance across all activities and maintaining accurate records
* Working to daily targets and KPIs to achieve your monetary goals and contribute to the growth and profitability of Hays
