We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at The Countryman Inn. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives on delivering high standards, developing people, and creating memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and inspire the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes and excellent service.
* Maintain and exceed brand standards across all food operations.
* Oversee all BOH operations, including stock management, ordering, food safety, and compliance.
* Develop and train the team to reach their potential, ensuring a positive and professional kitchen culture.
* Control costs effectively, managing budgets, GP, and labour within agreed targets.
* Work closely with management to design and deliver seasonal menus that reflect our brand and delight our guests.
* Uphold the highest levels of health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment.
* Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a passion for developing others.
* Ability to deliver and maintain brand standards under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of BOH operations, stock control, and financial accountability.
* A creative approach to menu development with an understanding of modern dining trends.
* Food safety and hygiene qualifications (Level 3 minimum).

Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
