We are looking to hire a warehouse and logistics supervisor to support our teams across the business. Based in Linlithgow, this full-time role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, an ability to effectively work on their own or as part of a team, good attention to detail and a proactive approach.
We are looking for someone who can commit to being on site full time, day shift Monday to Friday.
Key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
* Control goods coming in checking for quantity, shelf life and quality is as ordered.
* Carefully drive forklift for pallet movements and storage.
* Ensure products are put into stock in correct areas and rotated.
* Check what deliveries inward are expected each week, planning goods-in on any particular day.
* Immediately deal with any issues relating to damaged stock or shortages and promptly escalate to the management to ensure that the supplier is made aware in a timely manner.
* Control and monitor the warehouse to make sure everything is in its correct location.
* Respond to internal stock requisitions.
* Accurately complete the weekly stock counts and ensure that they are always available for the weekly management meetings
* Manage booking out deliveries in a timely manner.
* Ensure good stock rotation.
* Fulfill orders in an accurate and timely manner.
* Accurately complete paperwork and computer records as required.
* Ensure that required small run labels and sleeves are scheduled for printing as required.
* Accurately produce and collate dispatch paperwork from relevant systems.
* Manage booking out of deliveries to ensure they are collected at agreed time slots.
* Control all pallets leaving the building i.e. checking all the correct paperwork and counts are correct, and that they are stacked and pallet wrapped correctly.
* Check that all courier boxes are picked, packed, sealed correctly with the correct dispatch labels and allocated to the correct courier.
* Act as 1st point of contact for haulier issues, escalating when necessary to management.
* Correctly file all paperwork daily.
* Confidently use a range of in-house and external computer systems including but not limited to; Excel, Outlook, Courier Systems, Booking Portals and Ordering Systems.
* Flexibly undertake any other task required by the business.

Knowledge and Experience Required
* Has extensive knowledge and proven abilities in warehouse management best practice, including but not limited to: ensuring accurate stock rotation, recording of stock movements, performing accurate stock counts, ensuring safe movement of people, pallets, stock and equipment in and between all areas.
* Competent and confident user of forklift with extensive experience of safely moving pallets in confined spaces.
* Experience of refrigerated and/or frozen storage preferred
* Has proven knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation and best practice relating to packing and warehousing of ingredients and products similar to Findlater's
* Competent and confident using a range of simple packing tools including; tape guns, pallet wrapping etc.
* Has experience of using a range of computer systems including Excel, Outlook, Courier Portals and is confident in doing so.
* Happily and confidently learns to use new technology and tools introduced by the business and contributes ideas and suggestions to best implement.
* Able to consistently act as a role model and liaise effectively with production team leaders where assistance is provided on peak dispatch days.
* Able to work in cold environments for extended periods of time.
* Has proactive approach.
* True team player – happily supports other areas of the business as required and values the contribution of others.
* Flexible – happily takes on new tasks and positively adapts to change, including at short notice.
* Reliable – does what is expected, when it's expected and proactively flags potential issues.
