About the Role The Data Quality Team is responsible for monitoring the quality of the student record, programme set-up, system data configuration, and compiling and submitting four of the University’s HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) returns. The team works closely with Graduate Studies Assistants in Divisions and Departments to monitor key areas of postgraduate student data as well as overseeing and supporting administrative processes. The role of the Data Analyst involves the management of the quality of the graduate student record, as well as providing assistance to the team preparing the University’s student returns to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The Data Analyst will have line management responsibility for a Senior Student Records Officer and will also be responsible for the student registration queries, annual rollover of the graduate student records and maintenance of the recognised student record. About You
7. Strong level of education or equivalent experience in an office administration environment.
8. High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail.
10. Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft tools (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel), and ability to learn new IT systems or packages quickly and confidently.
11. Confident and accurate numerical and data processing skills with the ability to cope with high volume of routine processing.
12. Good team working skills, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and a willingness to move between many areas or work between two areas at once.
