Subsea7 has opportunities for onshore Senior Data Processors to join our UK & Global IRM team based in our Aberdeen, Mexico and Kuala Lumpur offices. Successful candidates may also work from home remotely within the specified hub locations utilising cutting edge cloud technologies.
These roles have been created as a result of a transition from an offshore support role to an onshore support role and will further complement our global remote processing and reporting service.
Reporting to the Data Delivery Manager, successful applicants will assist with and oversee all data processing activities to support Subsea 7 Survey and Inspection activities. The role will support Remote Operations for global projects to control associated data quality, processing and charting of data, production of final reports and deliverables.
Working closely with our online teams the primary focus is to maintain data quality, the processing and charting of data, including the production of final reports and deliverables.
What will you be doing?
1. Processing of hydrographic survey and inspection data including digital terrain data and pipeline inspection data
2. Video review and eventing
3. Processing of INS derived data
4. Processing of Dimensioning Control data
5. Creation charts and drawings, data visualisation and interpretation
6. Implementing GIS Technology associated with map production
7. Review, quantify and report on standards of survey data processed offshore
8. Assist with Data Governance processes related to Survey data
9. Prepare, review, quality control and final preparation of survey and inspection reports
10. Oversee and execute Managed File Transfer systems to maintain delivery of raw data.
11. Preparation of documentation such as procedures, guidelines and manuals
12. Provide support to field-staff through addressing of technical queries and analysis of acquired datasets
13. Interface and liaise with projects and manage work against scheduled deadlines
14. Support transfer to and use in operational projects of new data solutions
15. To maintain and comprehensive handover notes
16. To maintain a detailed and accurate processing log
17. To maintain and develop experience in Survey software and Survey techniques
18. Supervise and provide training to staff where required
What experience would we like you to have?
19. Degree in a surveying or geoscience subject is preferred
20. Masters in GIS (desirable)
21. Qualifications in earth science, geography, mathematics (desirable)
22. Excellent computing skills in standard office applications and software packages
23. Relevant experience in a related environment
24. Proficient CAD and GIS skills
25. Knowledge of survey sensor calibrations
26. Proven offshore experience
27. Knowledge and understanding of a variety of specialised survey software products
28. Good knowledge of survey data processing philosophies and methodologies
29. Knowledge of automated processing techniques, Machine Vision and Machine Learning
30. Knowledge of cloud computing and hosting services
