We are now seeking aProject Manager (Major Projects)to lead delivery of high-profile, complex infrastructure projects that directly contribute to our growth ambitions and the UKs energy transition. As a Project Manager in our Major Projects team, you will take ownership of projects typically ranging from£20m up to £200m CAPEX, leading them across their full lifecycle fromStrategic Definition to Operational Handover. You will work cross-functionally with ABP colleagues and delivery partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the highest safety and quality standards. Critical areas of focus in the near term include: Marine Infrastructure Leading development of marine infrastructure and works, a significant package of new quay wall, land reclamation and dredging works valued in excess of £500m. You will interface with colleagues leading development of landside infrastructure and utilities, plus ABPs marine team to ensure successful delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to develop and deliver robust business cases, ensuring value for money and strong return on investment. Oversee design, procurement, planning consents and construction delivery, managing contractors and internal resources to achieve high performance. Develop and implement stakeholder and statutory engagement strategies, including with local communities, regulators, and customers. Manage project risks, opportunities and dependencies, ensuring compliance with ABPs standards for health, safety and sustainability. Champion best practice in project management, contributing to continuous improvement across the Major Projects team. Skills & Experience Essential: Proven track record in managingmajor capital infrastructure projects (£20m). Experience of planning and consenting processes (pre-application through to discharge of conditions). Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance across diverse, cross-functional teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with Executive-level stakeholders. Flexibility to travel to ABP ports and project locations across the UK. Desirable: Degree in Project Management or relevant engineering discipline. Chartered status (e.g. CEng MICE, MAPM or similar). Experience in marine and/or port regeneration projects. Knowledge of environmental regulation and nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs).
