Job Summary
Would you like to leverage your skills and experience to cross-train as a qualified Aircraft Fitter? This opportunity is based at our East Cowes facilities on the Isle of Wight, where we design, manufacture, test, and repair high-performance structures and systems for the aerospace industry. Our client portfolio includes Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, and others.
We are offering a 2-year programme combining on-the-job training across various manufacturing processes and a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering in partnership with the Isle of Wight College. Participants will also develop a portfolio of evidence during this period.
Job Responsibilities
* Contribute to a safe, productive team environment by promoting safety-first and supporting colleagues
* Adhere to standard work procedures and report safety or quality issues immediately
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and standards
* Understand key performance indicators related to People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash, and Cost
* Achieve Lean Foundation certification and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Support problem-solving efforts and contribute ideas based on own experience
* Promote team engagement and collective success
* Comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, including export controls and company policies
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least a Level 3 qualification (or Level 2 if Level 3 is not applicable) in an allied trade, supported by relevant certification or apprenticeship documentation
* Experience or qualification in trades such as Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, or similar fields listed in the job description
