The postholder will be based in the relevant School Office and will be managed by the Head Teacher. The postholder will assist the Head Teacher with a variety of administrative/clerical duties and supervise an Employed Trainee.

Aith Junior High School is a non-denominational school located in Aith on the west side of Shetland. The school comprises a nursery class, five primary classes, and a secondary department from S1 to S4, with a total of 241 pupils. The current Head Teacher is Mr. Michael Spence. * The pay rate includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour.
* This is a permanent part-time post for 33 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, plus 6.40 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday during school holidays.
* Preferred candidates will be required to join or update the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to employment.
