You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £51,284 - £52,733 p.a. inc. London Weighting
The Curriculum Manager- Construction role:
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Curriculum Manager will be responsible for the operational leadership and management of a designated curriculum area. This includes ensuring good people and resource management practices, successful achievement of qualifications as well as the overall learning, progression and experience of learners.
Working closely with the Head of Department, the Curriculum Manager will develop the curriculum intent to reflect sector and industry changes as well as local, national and global reforms.
Key Responsibilities of our Curriculum Manager- Construction:
Lead the development of a responsive and relevant curriculum offer through effective leadership of the curriculum team(s) .
Carry out staff timetabling, local resource planning and budget management for designated curriculum teams, with particular reference to the operational management of
physical and human resources
Set and monitor targets for learning progress, learner participation, retention, achievement and success and progression.
Develop and embed internal quality assurance (IQA) and improvement systems consistent with overall College quality practice.
Undertake lesson observations of colleagues in own and other curriculum teams, and act as a mentor to curriculum team leaders.
Line manage designated curriculum colleagues and implement relevant college policies and procedures e.g. local induction, probation, disciplinary, risk assessment, absence management, equality of opportunity, health and safety etc. Work with relevant stakeholders to
The Curriculum Manger role carries a teaching commitment of 10 hours per week.
Our ideal Curriculum Manager- Construction should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Cert Ed/PGCE/DTTLS/DET or relevant teaching/training qualification
Level 3 qualification in a construction related trade
Assessors award and preferably an IQA award
A commitment to ongoing Continuous Professional Development in both teaching and industry related practice.
Experience of developing and delivering successful teaching and learning strategies that promote inclusive learning and engage learners
Demonstrable experience of leading teams and individuals including staff development and mentoring
Experience of working to the Common Inspection Framework
Experience of conducting lesson observations and providing developmental feedback
