Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our small kitchen team. Duties
* Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
* Support the team in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Help with food presentation to ensure visual appeal of dishes
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
* Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen during service periods
* Support with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Requirements
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Experience in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
* Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience is desirable
* Ability to work effectively within a team and manage time efficiently during busy service periods
* Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
